What time should I arrive at the castle?

If you are travelling to the wedding venue by yourself and not via transportation arranged by us, please arrive at the castle hall by 2:45 pm - please note that it takes approximately 2-3 minutes to walk from the gate of the estate of the castle to the actual castle.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Parking is free on town square that’s a 5-minute walk from the castle.

What’s the dress code?

There isn’t one. This wedding is theme-free and not colour-coded, though if you want to plan your clothing nonetheless, the bride will be wearing red, and not white. Kruibeke temperatures in August/September average highs of 21°C and lows of 12°C. For those contemplating heels or delicate footwear, the terrain is fairly forgiving and all grassy areas we're walking on have paths. However, please do note that if your accommodation is within Kruibeke and some walking distance away from the castle, it may be advisable to bring a spare pair of comfortable shoes (we're talking flats here, not wellies or hiking boots).

Can I bring a plus one?

Of course! Just let us know in the RSVP form so we can plan for transportation and food.

When is the RSVP deadline?

We would appreciate it if you could let us know if you could fill in the RSVP form by 28 May.

How long will the ceremony, reception and dinner last? What should/could I do between events?

The ceremony should take place from 3.00-4.00p.m., with the reception in the cellar commencing straight after that and lasting from 4.00-6.00p.m. During this time, if you do feel the need to stretch your legs or for a change of scenery, feel free to explore the 15th century castle and its grounds, including the oldest suspension bridge in Europe. Dinner is at 6.00p.m., and we'll be walking to the restaurant, which is located on the castle grounds.

Can I take pictures?

Feel free! Just remember to give the photographer some space to do his thing.
